In Japan, white chrysanthemums are funeral flowers. In Jersey, I have put one (made of gum paste) on a cupcake.

I am making a grooms cake for a friends wedding and need to know a good recipe for vegan gum paste or marzipan. Where did you get your recipe? DO you have one you can hand off to me?

Wilton has a recipe for gum paste on their website. And Joy of Cooking’s marzipan recipe is vegan, but be careful to use a strong-motored food processor. Good luck!
